Luke Cassady-Dorion – Co-Founder, Director

After a successful career as a software developer and author of technology books, Luke changed directions in order to focus on Yoga and the arts. Since moving to Bangkok in 2005, his photography has been exhibited in multiple Bangkok galleries, earning him praise from some of Bangkok’s top critics.

A lifelong interest in documentary films has led Luke to co-found with A Single Production Company. His fluency in both English and Thai combined with his photographic talents uniquely position him to direct our films.

In addition to his position with A Single Production company, Luke is completing a Bachelors degree majoring in Thai Studies at Ramkamheang University, co-hosts the Thai TV show Farang Pok Pok, and teaches Yoga at Absolute Yoga. His Thai-language autobiography was published by abook in July 2011.

 

Jason Best – Co-Founder, Executive Producer

Jason Best co-founded and served as the Executive Producer for The Cheer Ambassadors.  In addition to his work with ASPC, he has also created an initiative with local entrepreneurs and educators to expand and nurture a more entrepreneurial software development industry in Thailand.

Jason Best brings over 10 years of executive management experience at two SaaS healthcare businesses in Silicon Valley of the USA.  His work there included building broad coalitions of US medical societies in support of Internet-based physician-patient communication.  He also was part of the team that changed FDA regulations to enable physicians to receive electronic (email) medication warnings instead of paper.

He is a successful entrepreneur and consultant to technology companies on business development and strategy issues that enable companies to grow rapidly and effectively. In both 2010 and 2011, his work led to one of his clients, being named by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies in the USA.

Additionally he is the co-creator of Startup Exemption a regulatory framework to change current US investment laws to enable entrepreneurs and small businesses to use CrowdFund Investing. This framework has been officially endorsed by President Obama and was passed by the USA House of Representatives with a vote of 407 to 17.

Jason earned his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, the world’s #1 international MBA program.  He has lived and worked in Europe, South America and Asia.  He is based in San Francisco, California, USA in order to be near the ocean, the mountains and wine country.

 

Duangporn (B) Pakavirojkul – Editor


B loves documentaries, she really, really loves them. She’s someone with a deep interest in the stories that others are willing to share, and an understanding of the craft necessary to edit that story into an entertaining film. B has edited some of Thailand’s top documentary films including Pig-O-Nine’s Dek Do, Our Southern Home and Our Roots.

 

Thapanont (Tae) Phithakrattanayothin - Production Manager

Starting first with 13 years as a world-class Cheerleader and then five years planning multi-million dollar events, Tae keeps A Single Production Company well-oiled and running smoothly.  Fluent both in English and his native Thai. He learned English through time spent working in the United States and during his time studying a Bachelors degree in Bangkok University’s international program majoring in Communication Arts (public relations). Tae is able to manage production issues both inside and outside of Thailand. His experience working on motion-graphics, video editing and stage-management in the event business provided him with the segue needed to move into film production.

 

Zachary Cassady-Dorion – Marketing and Social Media Manager

Zak is the VP of business development for a retail company in the Northeastern United States. Having lived, worked, and traveled in over 30 countries, Zak brings a valuable international perspective to the production company. He holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, the world’s top international MBA program and is also a co-founder of www.startupexemption.com. An initiative to change investment regulations to allow entrepreneurs to more easily raise capital to create innovation and jobs.

 

Ben Wiboonsin – Marketing Communications Writer

Ben grew up in a rural part of Thailand surrounded by books. With nothing to do and nowhere to go, Ben escaped into the world of books each and every day. It’s no wonder that with such grand beginnings that she grew up to be an author.

After moving to Bangkok, Ben studied first a Bachelors degree majoring in Thai at Kasetsart University and then a Masters degree majoring in European studies at Chulalongkorn University. One degree had her studying books written in Thai and then one had her wrapping her head around books written in English, giving her the solid foundation that she uses as a researcher and writer.
